Har Ghar Khushiyan is a signature community service initiative of the Rotaract Club of Mumbai Anchors that embodies the true spirit of giving back to society. Launched in 2022, the project was envisioned as a way to celebrate India’s Independence Day with a deeper meaning by linking the joy of national pride with the act of uplifting underprivileged families. The concept is simple yet impactful: every year, the number of families supported corresponds to the number of years of India’s independence. For example, in 2023, marking 78 years of independence, we reached out to 78 families with kits containing daily essential items such as food grains, oil, pulses, and household necessities. In 2024, as the nation celebrated its 79th Independence Day, we scaled up our efforts and provided 79 families with these essential kits, each carefully curated to address their immediate needs.
The project has now successfully completed its third year, growing in scale, reach, and impact. What makes Har Ghar Khushiyan truly unique is the way it blends symbolism with service, each kit distributed not only provides material relief but also represents a gesture of solidarity, ensuring that vulnerable families are not left behind in the celebrations of freedom. The initiative has become a mega annual event for our club, requiring weeks of planning, resource mobilization, and coordination with volunteers, donors, and community partners. More than just a distribution drive, it fosters a culture of compassion, unity, and responsibility among our members while directly benefiting some of the most marginalized sections of society.
Over the years, Har Ghar Khushiyan has touched the lives of over 200+ families, offering them not just basic essentials but also a sense of hope, dignity, and inclusion. It stands as a testimony to the Rotaract Club of Mumbai Anchors’ commitment to meaningful service and has become one of our most anticipated projects, reminding us that true independence is about empowering others and spreading happiness.
On the occasion of World Rotaract Week, District 3141 is celebrating WRY i.e World Responsible Youth from 11th March to 18th March.
It is a week long initiative with numerous events for each Avenue, activities which are fun and as well as helpful.
This year it is extra special as Rotaract is celebrating it's 55 years of excellence.
Youth is the present and future of any society and shaping them into responsible members of the society is imperative.
Rotaract aims to enlighten and embolden the youth of today so that they can be the leaders of tomorrow.
Youth is a powerful asset of the nation in the present era, possessing an abundance of energy and zeal necessary for the nation's overall progress. Youth is a critical age of development, a time of uncertainty when everything is in motion.
Since a youth is neither a child nor an adult, his personality has a mixture of both phases. He may be selfish at times or prove to be selfless the next day. He may also prove to be rebellious one day.
The youth develops a rebellious personality, which leads to disagreements in the family. It is also a major cause of deterioration in family relationships. Since adolescents are argumentative by nature, they develop an attitude based on rational thought and judgment.
Thus, they refuse to accept anything as true without a reasonable reason for doing so. It is not that he lacks moral awareness or that he outright refuses to abide by ethical and moral standards. It is merely that he wants an answer to each of his questions, and since his quest is fulfilled, he accepts it.

Youth is the golden time to cherish a great dream full of passion and energy. This time is also full of adventure, but it must be seen with open eyes. It is the time when we can give shape to our ideas for the economic development of society. By encouraging active participation in dramas, projects, sports and other things, excessive fantasies can be well controlled. It is also the time to move toward the goal that can be achieved through professional awareness and the critical study of individual differences.
Mixed with responsibility and fun, new environments, excitement, thrill, applause and regret, it has a great significance in a person's life. It is time to gain wisdom along with knowledge.
